What you'll uncover

18 sections that read your history back to you β€” here's a taste.

⚑

Obsession spikes

The month a single artist quietly ate your entire life β€” ranked by intensity.

🏁

The race for #1

Watch your all-time favorites overtake each other, cumulatively, year by year.

🏝️

Vacation soundtracks

Trips detected from where you connected and when you slept β€” with their songs.

πŸ”

On repeat

The track you played dozens of times in a row, uninterrupted, in one sitting.

πŸ’˜

Love at first listen

Songs you binged the week you found them β€” some stuck, some vanished forever.

πŸ•΅οΈ

Guilty pleasures

What you played in incognito mode. Spotify still wrote it down. So did we.

Three steps, one afternoon of curiosity

1

Request your data

Go to spotify.com/account/privacy, scroll to Download your data, and request the Extended streaming historyβ€” that's the one with your full history, not just the last year.

2

Wait for the email

Spotify prepares the export and emails you a download link β€” usually within 1–3 days. You'll get a file called my_spotify_data.zip.

3

Drop it here

Come back and drop the zip below. Seconds later: your entire listening life β€” artist eras, obsession spikes, streaks, vacation soundtracks, guilty pleasures and more.

How β€œlocal” is local?

  • No upload. The zip is unzipped and analyzed by your browser, in a background thread. There is no server that could receive it β€” open DevTools and watch the network stay silent.
  • Stored on your device only. The export and the computed stats are kept in your browser's local storage so you don't have to re-upload β€” and a Delete my data button removes both at any time.
  • One exception, clearly scoped: album covers are fetched from Spotify's public artwork service as you scroll. Only anonymous track IDs are requested β€” never your listening data.
