Go to spotify.com/account/privacy, scroll to Download your data, and request the Extended streaming history— that's the one with your full history, not just the last year.
Wait for the email
Spotify prepares the export and emails you a download link — usually within 1–3 days. You'll get a file called my_spotify_data.zip.

How “local” is local?
- No upload. The zip is unzipped and analyzed by your browser, in a background thread. There is no server that could receive it — open DevTools and watch the network stay silent.
- Stored on your device only.The export and the computed stats are kept in your browser's local storage so you don't have to re-upload — and a Delete my data button removes both at any time.
- One exception, clearly scoped: album covers are fetched from Spotify's public artwork service as you scroll. Only anonymous track IDs are requested — never your listening data.
